Hard to tell: Unfortunately like so many rashes a picture is worth a thousand words. It would be worth seeing your doctor who can often answer the question with a quick look and prescribe an appropriate cream. In general itchy rashes suggest an allergic cause (with several exceptions), and can often be easily treated with steroid creams.
