Post ictal: The brain will at times shut off a section of the body following a seizure. This is referred to as todd's paralysis. The region of the body that shuts down may have no reflexes and remain limp and flaccid for several hours. There is gradual recovery back to baseline. This would indicate that the region of the brain for that part of the body was primary in the seizure event.
