Unlikely cause: Tooth pain may be from decay in tooth, gingivitis, sinus pressure, broken tooth, dental abscess. See dentist for evaluation & treatment. If she is taking med to prevent osteoporosis, there is possibility of bone loss in jaw, which could cause tooth pain. Again, dentist can better determine cause. Nsaid/ tylenol, (acetaminophen) topical oragel/anbesol can help ease pain until dentist seen.

No: There would be no connection between menopause and tooth pain. Tooth pain is caused by caries, gum disease or trauma of some type. Menopause can be related to dry mouth and associated issues. Best for her to see a dentist to have her pain evaluated before she ends up with an abscess.
