A member asked:

My doctor thinks my blood has become too acidic on acetazolamide - i take 1, 000 mg a day. i just had another blood test run. thoughts?

Blood ph: Acetozolamide causes the kidney to excrete bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) which can change blood ph. This can produce a serious derangement of metabolism. Generally a reduction in dosage can be effective. You need to heed you physicians recommendations or seek additional expertise.
