A member asked:

Could tooth aches cause head aches even though you can't feel pain in your mouth?

Yes: It is possible -- if you have impacted teeth that are trying to erupt, malalignment of teeth resulting in a non-ideal bite, or depending on the particular situation, headaches are known to occur quite frequently. Best to be seen by your dentist for a comprehensive exam to determine the cause.

Yes: I've treated several patients with the same exact condition. In every case the patient needed root canal therapy on a maxillary tooth.

Probably: Because it is common for a tooth to die without being painful it is possible. Your dentist should be able to tell with xrays and pulp testing.
