Differnt injections: Trigger point therapy involves injecting local anesthetic drugs sometimes combined with steroids into muscle groups that are in spasm. Prolotherapy involves injecting high concentration sugar solutions into tendons and ligaments in an attempt to induce inflammation and scarring of those structures in order to strengthen them.
