Possibly: Tinnitus & throat tightness may have common cause involving the eustacian tube (connects middle ear to the throat). It functions as a drain & pressure equalizer for the middle ear. Tinnitus occurs in 10-20% of people esp as they get older. Holding your nostrils & gently blowing against a closed mouth may relieve pressure. If it persists it is best to consult your doctor to determine cause & tx.
