Failure: Any time surgery is performed, there is a certain amount of risk that is involved. The risks of having bone grafting surgery are: pain, bleeding, swelling, infection, and loss of bone graft. The larger the bone graft, the more risk that is generally assumed. Having an experienced board certified oral implantologist will help to ensure a positive outcome and a comfortable experience.
