Stroke? TIA?: If speech is affected, almost certainly the left half of the brain has malfunctioned, due to circulatory issues of stroke (permanent damage) or transient ischemic attack (reversible damage). Other considerations include partial (sensory) seizures and migraine variant if any of this happens, you need urgent neurologic assessment to rule out serious disease.

Nerves go numb!: Right sided hemiplegia (weakness) may indicate you are haveing a stroke or a TIA (transient ischemic attack, mini stroke). This symptom presentation warrants immediate evaluation from your doctor because it may be life threatening. Other less serious (but still significant causes) include multpile sclerosis, lyme disease and a host of other possibilities. Please see your doctor asap!
