Probably OK but...: Bleeding after menopause warrants a gyn evaluation. Could be ok, a polyp, return of menses, vaginal wall irritation, vaginal infection, coming from another location- rectum, etc. , all of these possibilities and more should be considered. An ultrasound and probably an endometrial biopsy may prove to be hopeful. Good luck.

Post menopausal : You are menopausal if you are not pregnant and have not had a period in 1 year. Any post menopausal vaginal bleeding needs to be worked up by a gynecologist. With postmenopausal bleeding, atrophy (changing of lining from age) is the most common cause. However, cancer causes 20% of post menopausal bleeding. You need to see your gynecologist and get an endometrial biopsy.
