Yes: I wouldn't be over concerned since the lump is recent. I would see the doctor if the lump is not going away, especially if it is hard in nature. If there is any redness to the area, go see someone tomorrow. You may also want to try soaking the area in warm water and epsom salt a few times a day until you get into the doctor. Good luck.

All lumps: Should be evaluated by a doctor irrespective of pain. You don't need to worry as that doesn't accomplish anything. All you need to do is have it checked out.
