Yes, very common: Irregular periods prolonged periods and even no period at all, are common when you are breast feeding and common when you are on the mini-pill. Put the two together and it can be even more unpredictable. Heavy bleeding (soaking pads every 1 or 2 hours) is not normal and you should see a doctor.
