A member asked:

How do you start birth control after pregnancy? breast feeding & got the mini pill, but ii heard that women sometimes don't start period so soon.

Can start right now: It is safe to start birth control right away after a pregnancy - you don't have to wait for a period. Just start with the first pill in the pack, and it will regulate your cycle. Remember, with the mini pill, it is important to take your pill around the same time every day, and to switch to stronger birth control when you stop nursing/pumping, or slow down to nursing/pumping only twice a day.
