Meds and Stretching: I recommend advil (ibuprofen) 2 tablets 3 times a day for at least 5-7 days for my patients with bursitis. Patients with stomach problems , bleeding disorders or on blood thinners should consult with their primary doctor before using these meds. I recommend that my patients stretch to the point of discomfort only if that discomfort is relieved after 20 minutes of rest. If not , you've done too much.
