Need for evaluation: Any non-healing ulcer of three month duration is a cause for concern and needs immediate evaluation by a doctor who will examine the lesion and it may require a biopsy and microscopic study of the tissue by a pathologist. See this site for more info on tonsil cancer. http://www.mayoclinic.org/tonsil-cancer/.

Get it checked: A non healing ulcer anywhere needs to be evaluated. On the tonsil, it can be cancer and if it's been there for 3 months than a visit to the ear nose and throat specialist, or at least your primary doctor should happen asap!
