All ulcers and : All ulcers and other lesions that last more than two weeks should be seen by your General Dentist or an Oral Surgeon for a proper diagnosis and treatment. Most but not all ulcers hurt and whether or not it hurts does not confirm nor negate the chance of oral cancer. Never take a chance with your life.

Yes: Yes, but may also be painless. See oral surgeon or ENT doc if you have any of these symptoms: Persistent mouth sore, persistent mouth pain, a lump or thickening in the cheek, a white/red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsil, or lining of the mouth, a sore throat, hoarseness or feeling that something is caught in the throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing/chewing.
