LITHOTRIPSY: Lithotripsy simply fractures the stones after which they need to pass. It can take more than 1 treatment for this much stone. The pieces can also stack up in the ureter and cause pain. The skin often bruises with treatment and the tissue of the kidney can also bruise. Many reasons for pain after litho.
