Psychotherapy: There really aren't medications that work that well for depersonalization (although they may help if there is also anxiety or depression). Therapy with a trained therapist is the most effective solution. There are a couple of books that might be helpful including - feeling unreal: depersonalization disorder and the loss of the self.

Non-med treatment?: Ssris may not work. Your doctor may want to consider Guanfacine or anticonvulsant or atypical. The underlying precipitant or cause of the depersonalization must be managed. A safe and healthy environment is most important. Interpersonal conflicts and internal conflicts need to be elucidated, understood, managed and balanced. Combination medication-psychotherapy is recommended.
