See a doctor: A gastrointestinal bleed caused by steroid induced ulcers should not cause overt blood or bloody diarrhea unless the bleeding is major. Bloody diarrhea can occur from infections in the intestines such as e. Coli, shigella, salmonella, amebiasis and others. Some of these are more frequent or severe with the immunosuppressive qualities of steroids.
