A member asked:

I have a painful lump on my left rib cage. i had two ultrasounds and three x-rays in the past two years and they found nothing. what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be....: This lump might need evaluated by more advanced imaging, such as an MRI or ct scan. There may be some soft tissue pathology or even a nondisplaced rib nonunion that is being missed by these imaging modalities.
