Modalities of heat and ice can help. Tens therapy can help. Accupuncture and chiropractic care is said to help. Get a proper evaluation by a reputable provider and see what they recommend.

Multiple: Medication, physical therapy and injections are all options. The bigger question is how do you prevent this from happening again? My favorite is exercise is medicine! developing good core strength can really help support your back.

Spine Pain Options: This pain in the distribution as you suggested is the result of an irritated nerve or facet joints or other injury typically in the lumbar spine (low back) which are caused by herniated disks, spinal stenosis or degenerative disc disease, etc requiring further evaluation by a spine specialist and may be candidate for facet injections/radiofrequency ablation and epidural steroid injection.
