Vit D: Vit d is a necessary part of your bone health. However, you can take too much as it is a fat soluable vitamin so be sure not to exceed recommended daily allowance.

Increase blood level: Vitamin d supplements are used to treat low 25 hydroxy vitamin d levels (< 30 ng/ml). Many different approaches are used ranging from a daily dose of 1, 000 - 10, 000 iu, to a weekly single dose of 50, 000 - 60, 000 iu. Due tp poor absorption the daily dosing regimen is preferred by many providers. Vitamin d levels should be followed and dosage adjusted to maintain levels of 60-80 ng/ml.
