Half body weight oz: Hydration comes from drinking water as well as getting the water into your organs and muscles by moving. To hydrate well drink half your body weight in ounces (ex 120lb is 60oz of water) as well as exercising which helps move the water into the cellular spaces. Drink less caffienated drinks which can be dehydrating.

Drinking water: For a healthy adult, 6 to 8 glasses of pure water per day is generally beneficial. The lack of adequate hydration with water causes various degrees of dehydration which can cause many unwanted and unhealty conditions.
