Follow MDs advice: Exercise and eating right does not always control the blood presuure, after it has been tried and BP still up you may need one or more meds to keep your BP under control.

Yes.: Lose weight, cut processed foopd, take supplmental magnesium, increase potassium intake, and go low glycemic diet. Finally, take your meds. And be wary other other manifestations of metabolic syndrome, such as your cholesterol profile.
