Antibiotics: You most likely need a prescription of an antibiotics; I am assuming that you consulted your pcp or an ENT physician who diagnosed you with an infection in the ear. If you have ear pain and a headache, you may want to take an antihistaminic and a decongestant.

Seek attention: Ear infections are common and usually easily treated with antibiotics. Sometimes complications can develop however and an unrelenting headache is a danger sign. Extension of the infection to adjacent blood vessels, the brain and surrounding chambers in the bone can all lead to headache unresponsive to Motrin or the usual treatment choices.
