Dr. Brijesh Chandwani answered

Specializes in Orofacial Pain

Orofacial pain : Temporomandibular disorders is a common cause of chronic jaw pain, ear pain, headaches, neck pain and jaw clicking/locking. If you have had symptoms for a long time, consult an orofacial pain dentist. If you have had symptoms only for a couple of weeks, consult your dentist or pcp.

Specializes in Dentistry

Start with dentist: I would start first by seeing your dentist. The jaw pain may not be related to a tmj/tmd problem. It could be an infected tooth or some other cause.
