Referred pain : Can be confusing sometimes. Your dentist will do a pulp test by doing a percussion, cold, or hot test to identify the offending tooth - and diagnose the condition of the nerve from the area of discomfort.

Wisdom Toothache: It is hard to tell unless there is swelling around the area of the erupting tooth. Don't wait till you are dying of pain. Go find a dentist where you live or work if it is closer and get the pain problem resolved. Many times pain in the mouth projects itself on a different area away from where the problem is. You may have a large cavity on a upper molar, but you feel pain in the lower molar area.
