A member asked:

I have risks of blood clots. is there a type of birth control that i can take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risk of blood clots: If you have an increased risk of blood clots avoid oral contraceptives because they all contain a form of estrogen which will increase your chances of a clot. Use barrier contraception such as condom, cervical cap or a diaphragm.. Also an iud would be suitable. Although the failure rate is higher.
