Don't: Hydrogen peroxide is helpful to clean wounds if bleeding not for acne care. Avoid putting chemicals on your face that will not help your skin.

Not useful: Benzoyl peroxide is used for acne, not hydrogen peroxide. Look for 2 1/2 % or 5% otc. If you buy the generic it costs $5 or so. If you call it "proactiv" it may cost $60. It will bleach fabrics so keep it away from any nice towels or clothing. If you have severe acne you will want prescriptions.
