My neurologists say i have cerebral palsy. what does this mean?

Variable diagnosis: Cerebral palsy is a disorder of movement or posture related to injury to nerves controlling those functions that occurred some time in the developmental period.(pregnancy to age 3y) it implys a permanent but stable process, where new injury or deterioration is not expected, but might occur from lack of use. It is quite a variable diagnosis from very mild to incompasitating.

Brain-based: Cerebral palsy means " weakness that comes from the brain, " a categorical diagnosis of alterations in muscle tone/strength that vary widely in severity & may impact all or parts of body functions. Whether from the way the brain formed, drops in oxygen or blood flow to parts of the fetal brain, or perinatal/ postnatal causes, the degree of function & need for supports drive services & funding.
