What could cause a urine ph of 5.0 consistently with normal cmp blood test!?

That is normal.: Slightly acidic urine is completely normal. Many of the waste products that kidneys get rid of are acidic, and so urine ph usually is also. Normal urin ph ranges from 5.0 to 8.0, with 7.0 being neutral.

Urine ph: Urine ph is highly variable based on your diet. The kidneys tightly regulate your blood ph between 7.36 and 7.44. To do this your urine changes to balance it. For example if your body senses it needs less acid in the blood it dumps it in the urine so the ph goes down and vice versa. The important factor is keeping that blood ph perfect which your kidneys do.
