Yes: Tendinitis. Heat and stretch before work, stretch and ice ( fill styrofoam cup w water and freeze, and peel rim away) after.

Inflammation: Swelling in the body is usually due to trauma, infection, or inflammation (irritation). Assuming there was no trauma like a fall, and you did not puncture the skin, then is most likely inflammation (usually of you tendons).
