Should i force my son to go out on the town when home for the holidays? he just wants to sleep and skype.

Force or incentavise: If your kid is home from his arduous toils at whatever, he may chose too use the break as a vacation as you would, doing what pleases him. If you want him out & about, make it worth his while. It should be at least as attractive as his other pursuits. You win more cooperation when it is a win/win for you both & won't alienate the boy in the process.
