Embryo adoption?!: I believe you must be referring to embryo adoption. With ivf, the egg, sperm and uterus can all be from different people. If a couple adopts an embryo made by one couple and then places that embryo into the second female's uterus, the child born is not related genetically to the mother who delivers the child. The medical family history and genetics of the child is from the genetic parents.
