Depends: If you have been outside or in a cool environment, your hand skin nerves may be overly stimulated by warm water in the shower, whereas the same temperature water on a summer day would not burn. It is the same as showering when you have a sunburn, where it hurts with even slightly warm water. Skin has many sensitive nerve endings, and this is not unusual. If concerned, feel free to ask your doc.
