See dermatologist: You will need to be clinically examined. It could be fungal infection/dermatomycosis like ringworm or could be psoriasis or other skin problem. They can have the same symptoms-however different in clinical presentation. Steroids would help psoriasis but steroids will make ring worm worse. You need to be seen and evaluated by your doctor or dermatologist
