Appetite stimulants: There are several appetite stimulants that can help slow or reverse weight loss. However, if someone has terminal colon cancer, there may be no benefit to these medications.

Need supportive team: Having a diagnosis of cancer's very overwhelming.Depression happens frequently in cancer patients.It can manifest as withdrawal, decrease apetite, feeling worthless, sad, etc-.Talking about cancer isn't easy for some cancer patient especially when they are depressed. Give her some time, be there and be supportive. Ghrelin is not the answer.Weight loss could be due to cancer+/- depression. D/w md.
