Cervix: So long as your cervix isn't shortening the contractions may not be threatening. I had a lot of contractions in my pregnancy, took the Procardia (nifedipine) as well. My cervix never changed which was good. The cervix is s'more meaningful measurement of whether these contractions are something to be worried about. Ask for a transvaginal ultrasound to check with your doctor.
