A member asked:

Is it normal to have one ovary almost twice the size of the other and one higher up than the other?

Maybe: Ovaries can vary in size and position. If there is a normal appearance on ultrasound and no symptoms of pain, then it is considered a normal variation.

No, but..: The question should be not whether it is "normal", but whether it is functional, whether it is otherwise dangerous. Obviously with doubled body parts, "normal" is to have them be nearly identical (eyes, ears, kidneys, etc.); however, if one is not up to par, the other one functionally takes over, including with increased size, as occurs with kidneys: the "good one" covering for "the bad".
