What are the symptoms of thrombosis effecting the legs?

Pain, swelling: Arterial thrombosis results in loss of blood flow into the leg, and the larger the vessel involved, the worst the symptoms: cyanosis, extreme pain, loss of function, subsequent gangrene. Venous thrombosis: pain, mild like a pulled muscle to severe; swelling; mottling of the skin; and may have chest pain if blood clot travels to lungs.

Pain/swelling: If in the leg deep veins calf pain and swelling occurs. This requires a dr. Visit and blood thinners. If in the skin veins, moist heat and drugs like Motrin are used.
