Maybe: Blood clots have been associated with fractures and casting primarily related to extended immobilization. Weight bearing is usually good as your foot serves as a pump, however if you are just standing at the leg is immobilized the pump effect will be smaller.

Possibly: Immobilization in a leg cast reduces the natural pumping activity of the calf muscle pump. Depending on the original injury prolonged standing may increase the risk for venous thrombosis.
