Not in a Baby: Using a pacifier before any teeth are present will not affect future occlusion. Pacifiers or thumb sucking over a long time with teeth present can cause a malocclusion.

Yes most likely!: Two factors affect the results that pacifiers have on teeth position/alignment. First, the duration of use of the pacifier which compounds the effect and motion of teeth. Second, the intensity with which suction is applied on the pacifier when teeth are present. Pacifier can also have an affect on speech development. In general, pacifier use should be discontinued before age 1.
