How do i stop from getting cavities?

Brush and floss: Routine home care such as brushing and flossing are the main things. You could also add a flouride containing mouthwash to help. Watch your diet as well. Any carbohydrate can be used by the bacteria in your mouth, not just "candy".

Easy: Cut down on sweets and carbohydrates. Brush thoroughly 2-3 times per day with a Fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, use a good quality oral rinse such as listerine once per day, see the dentist every 6 months. Brush your tongue daily to reduce oral bacteria. Replace your toothbrush with a new one every 3 months. This is an easy formula for optimum oral health.
