Multiple things: The first could be wax build up in the ears, and the sound is created by slight movement in the tympanic membrane (ear drum). Or it could be a sign of high blood pressure. Or tinnitus which is a fancy name for noise/ringing in the ears. This is caused by many of things I mentioned before as well as age related damage. You could visit your doctor/ENT/Neurologist to help figure out the exact cause.
