What are the signs of a popped achilles tendon?

Pretty obvious: Pain, swelling and/or a palpable knot in back of the ankle may indicate tearing of the achilles tendon. If it is a complete rupture or tear, you will not be able to stand and put weight on it. See a podiatrist or orthopedist as soon as possible.

Weakness of the : Calf muscle and lack of propulsive gait. Unable to do a heel rise on affected side. A palpable indentation in the back of your tendon. See specialist and MRI may be needed to see less severe tears.
