Are mercury fillings dangerous?

No: There has never been any research that i'm aware of that has shown that mercury (although present) will leach from the filling into your system. There has been research however that shows exposure to mercury vapors during their removal. Ask your dentist to use a dental dam if you ever need to have an old amalgam filling removed to minimize that exposure.

VERY DANGEROUS: A large body of scientific research has shown that mercury from amalgam fillings leach into our bodies every day, with exposure levels of 4-20 micrograms per day, up to 50 times higher than is considered safe. Mercury is highly toxic & can cause alzheimer's, heart failure, autoimmunity etc. See http://www.Garynullforum.Com/gnthisarticle.Php?Article=91 for a thorough review with many references.
