Hi doctor.I have a problem with one of my eyes .I can't see clearly.

Blurry vision: Return of vision back to baseline after an episode of photosensitivity depends on the cause of the light sensitivity. You should go see an eye doctor is your vision is worsening or not improving.

Several minutes: Following a photosensitivity event (e.g. a very bright flash in pitch dark) , it usually takes 60-180 seconds for sight to recover. In some people it take longer and some less but those are the average ranges. This is why some law enforcement officers are taught to close one eye if they expect to have to discharge their firearm at night; the closed eye will not be effected by the bright flash.

Laser resurfacing can help but the muscle action underneath the skin causes the skin to crease so laser and plasma and other devices can make smoother skin but it will crease as soon as you squint or smile, so resurfacing is better for lines at rest and Botox or Dysport for lines from motion.

Usually: It depends on the sort of astigmatism and your prescription. Most of the time astigmatism can be treated very effectively and safely. However there are some types of astigmatism, specifically irregular astigmatism, that is not safe for lasik. This should all be determined during your pre laski eval.

Regular astigmatism: The shape of the eye itself will not change. If referring to the shape of the cornea due to astigmatism ("football shaped") then lasik can be very effective for regular astigmatism. Lasik is not for irregular astigmatism.
