Allergy: Allergic conjunctivitis can cause surface irritation and mucus discharge leading to blurry vision and eyestrain. See an ophthalmologist for a full exam and explain your symptoms carefully. You likely need more aggressive allergy treatment. You may also need glasses. Even with generally good vision, uncorrected astigmatism can lead to symptoms of eye strain from chronic squinting.

Muscle imbalance: I agree with the others and would ask that you have your eye doctor check of an "exophoria". They will know what to look for.
