Nerves in scar: Some times the nerve fibers in the skin get entrapped in a scar and cause pain. It is difficult to know the reason in your case without examining the scar. You may try massaging the area in a warm environment, e.g., warm bath. Scar pain: Scar tissue will eventually soften and stop hurting. Sometimes after a minor surgery there is an abnormal growth of scar tissue. If the discomfort continues i would return to your surgeon so he can reassure you that it is healing fine.
