Several reasons: There are several reasons behind the occurrence of head pains ranging from genetics, muscle contractions, stress, sleep disorders, teeth grinding, trauma, and different medical illness. The exact causes of headaches aren't known. From the sounds of it, you probably have tension type headaches.

Go to an ENT not DDS: You do not have TMJ which would affect your jaw function. Go to an ENT specialist.Neck pain could also be cervical in origin, from the cervical vertibrae and the pain radiates to those areas. To have such pain for 2 years means it should not be ignored. You physician should do all the necessary testing and studies to determine the source. It is not dental.

Oral Facial Pain: There is no common reason for chronic pain symptoms you have. The two sources are primary pain etiology or what is called heterotropic pain referred from the source to where you experience the pain. The is a growing specialty in dentistry called orofacial pain that is well trained in the diagnosis and treatment of complex head and neck pain. This type of dentist can help you.
